About your opportunity

The Mental Health Service Group are currently seeking to recruit a Mental Health Clinician to their team on a fixed term temporary full-time basis, up to 30/06/2023 with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months. This position is based within the North Ward Community Care Team.

The Mental Health Clinician will:

  • Provide flexible mental health assessment and treatment to adults with mental health difficulties living in the community within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Provide short, medium and long-term case management so that various services and supports are provided in a coordinated and collaborative manner.
  • Provide profession specific services and consultation as required within the team and the Mental Health Service Group.

Generous remuneration package value up to $9,916 p.m. comprising:

  • Salary range of $2719.80 to $3997.60 p.f. (HP3)
  • 4, 5, 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Proof of qualification (Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • Possession of relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in Psychology would be well regarded for a position at this level.
  • While not mandatory, status as an AASW accredited Mental Health Social Worker is highly regarded.
  • Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
  • Possession of class C drivers’ licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • 6 month probation period.
  • All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
