Full-time (80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO)
Up to $20,000 incentive payment available to support relocation
(Be reimbursed for rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more)
The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Menta Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.
The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).

About the role
The Youth Mental Health Team is a multi-disciplinary team which provides support and treatment to persons aged 15 to 24 who may be experiencing a Major Mental Illness or significant Mental Distress. The Mental Health Clinician will provide assessment, treatment and crisis interventions to patients whilst liaising with community services with in the local communities.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Clinically treat a caseload of patients as the primary clinician.
- Actively and effectively, work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the generic and discipline-specific clinical expertise.
- Evaluate the effects of implemented treatment of all patients and their families.
- Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments, identify and prioritise patient and family needs and/or referral option.
Skills and experience
You will have:
- Professional qualification in a health-related discipline (psychology, nursing, social work or occupational therapy)
- Experience in the delivery of evidence-based and best practice, aged friendly, family inclusive
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary evidence-based treatments
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
