Mental Health Clinicians- Child and Adolescent The Lorn Surgery

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Lorn Surgery in Maitland currently manages the practices of 10 GPs, 2 non-GP specialists and 7 allied health providers. We hold dual accreditation with AGPAL and NDIS.

To serve the growing needs of the Maitland community we are seeking a child and adolescent registered psychologist/accredited mental health social worker/accredited mental health OT ($120-140k) or clinical psychologist ($150-170k) to join our multi-disciplinary child health clinic. Full-time and part-time applicants welcome.

You will join three GPs with special interests in adolescent mental health and neurodiversity, a dietitian with a special interest in eating disorders, a paediatric occupational therapist and two adult psychologists who will work with older teens.

We are also seeking to recruit a child & adolescent psychiatrist and a behavioural or developmental paediatrician to complement our team.

Maitland has CAMHS and Headspace services and a public paediatrics unit. John Hunter Hospital (30min drive) has an inpatient paediatric psychiatry unit.

Maitland is semi-rural with a population of 80,000. It is 35 minutes from Newcastle’s CBD and beaches, 30min from the Hunter valley Wineries and 15min from the end of the M1 (Pacific Motorway).
