About the role

This position has been developed to lead our new Mental Health Industry Connector Project. The project aims to support students enrolling in the Certificate IV Mental Health qualification at TAFE Queensland ( Mooloolaba and Southbank Campuses) to complete the qualification and successfully enter the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce

Specifically, the role will include:

  • Developing relevant materials and providing enrolment advice to potential students to ensure they are fully informed of study requirements and future employment opportunities. 
  • Preparing and delivering face to face presentations to students on the nature of the work in the sector, highlights, challenges and useful resources
  • Establishing and facilitating an online Community of Practice for students 
  • Developing and facilitating sector engagement meetings for service providers and training organisation staff

This role will be based at the QAMH office, with regular requirements to travel to both TAFE Queensland Campuses. 

Critical Experience

  • Experience in and knowledge of the community mental health and wellbeing sector in Queensland and an understanding of the advocacy work of QAMH.
  • Knowledge of the Certificate IV Mental Health vocational qualification
  • Confidence and experience in facilitating group learning discussions.
  • Highly developed project management skills and experience in managing projects in their entirety using project methodology.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and facilitating consultations with key stakeholders.
  • Highly developed time management, administration, organisational and reporting skills with proficiency in MS Office.
