About the Role
The MyStep to Mental Wellbeing Program Intake Worker will provide the initial intake function for consumers referred, or who self-refer, to the MyStep to Mental Wellbeing Program. This role will also provide information and advice regarding potential referrals and to those considering whether the MyStep to Mental Wellbeing Program will suit their needs and goals.
The role of the intake worker is to respond to referrals, provide an initial intake and risk assessment then utilise this information to accurately triage the needs of the consumer to ensure they are linked to the most appropriate service provider.
The Intake worker will ensure that consumers accessing the MyStep to Mental Wellbeing Program receive seamless access to the appropriate program stream which matches their needs and goals. This will include supporting consumers who are placed on a waitlist to offer brief therapeutic interventions and identify any changes in risk status.
This position will include involvement in promotional activities and involves a high level of engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders including consumers and their families/carers, MyStep Mental Health clinicians, external Mental Health providers, General Practitioners, government, and non-government organisations.
