Mental Health Practice Specialist opportunity available in Tennant Creek or Darwin. This is a maximum term contract until June 2023.
As a Mental Health Practice Specialist you will bring your expertise to the team to mentor and support skills for practice. The role acts as a resource to several program areas.
What is involved?
- Provide case consultation and advice on complex case work and clinical practices.
- Work with SEWB team members to develop place-based models of care that are culturally informed, family-centred and guided by best practice literature.
- Facilitate culturally safe learning forums and support wellbeing and healing practices within the team.
- Support staff to facilitate participatory approaches to program development and planning.
- Support teams to develop and implement programs, as per program guidelines and plans.
- Provide clinical and organisational supervision
- Submit reports as require
What do I need to have?
- Relevant qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in relevant practice and team leadership
- Demonstrated report & case note writing skills
- Strong supervision skills and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to record and interpret data in line with program requirements
- Demonstrated experience in supervising a multi-disciplinary team
- Current NT Driving License & Ochre card
- At least two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations
Salary and Classification:
This role is classified as a Level 6 within the Social Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The salary for the role is $96,970 + Super + Salary Packaging.
