Where you’ll be working
Coral Tree Family Service is a NSW state-wide tertiary-referral service for the families of children showing mental health, behavioural, emotional or relationship difficulties. It is located on the grounds of Macquarie Hospital in North Ryde.

MHDA Statement of Intention
The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.
- Providing in the moment family orientated mental health interventions such as parenting assistance based on behavioural approaches, emotional coaching, and attachment/relational repair.
- Counselling and psychotherapeutic interventions to children and parents/carers.
- Providing care coordination for referred children and their families.
- Providing intake consultation and liaison with referrers and assessment of referred families.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and provide a high level customer service to all stakeholders.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development and clinical supervision.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Recognised qualifications as a Psychologist, Registered Nurse, or Occupational Therapist with current registration through the relevant Professional Board of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, or eligibility for Membership for Social Workers with the AASW.
- Post qualification experience that demonstrates the ability to provide a range of mental health interventions to children with severe emotional and behavioural problems.
- Post qualification experience that demonstrates the ability to provide a range of therapeutic interventions aimed at helping and assisting families with mental health and relationship difficulties.
- Demonstrated ability to manage clients presenting with a range of challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrated sound working knowledge of Child Protection Legislation.
