Souths Cares is a not-for-profit charity organisation affiliated with the South Sydney Rabbitohs Football Club. Souths Cares charter is to support disadvantaged and marginalised youth and their families through the delivery of capacity building programs addressing education, training, health and employment needs.
Souths Cares is currently recruiting for the position of Mental Health Professional based at our Head Office in Maroubra whilst servicing Sydney and regional areas. This position reports directly in to the Chief Executive Officer.
Due to Souths Cares being a Charity and having PBI Status, attractive Salary Sacrifice packages are available.
JOB FUNCTION
The Mental Health Professional will be a dedicated full-time Mental Health Worker within the Souths Cares organisation reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The Mental Health Professional will be responsible for the delivery of the Healthy Minds, Resilient Communities Program in community clubs, schools and to other groups as well as facilitate courses to increase the capacity of others in the space. This Mental Health Professional will deal with issues raised by players/volunteers/parents following the education program, supporting the building of capacity and capability at grass roots level – acting as both expert, counsel and educator.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
• Experience in clinical mental health setting advantageous.
• Demonstrated skills in managing relationships.
• Good communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levels.
• Good Presentation and Public Speaking Skills.
• A sound level of MS Office and able to provide accurate and detailed reports.
• An outstanding work ethic and the ability to display attention to detail and meet deadlines.
• Relevant Mental Health qualifications
- Compulsory – Must have a Working with Children Check.
- Must have a valid NSW Driver’s License at all times.
