About The WES
Delivered by Lifeline Gippsland, in partnership with the Latrobe Health Assembly, The WES provides a welcoming and safe space for anybody 16 years and over who may be experiencing mental health concerns, emotional distress or feeling socially isolated. The WES operates outside traditional hours because we recognise that mental health concerns are not nine-to-five.

We are seeking someone to work Tuesday from 3:45pm to 8pm.
Your availability to provide additional backfill shifts would be highly regarded!
The WES opening hours are:
- Tues 4pm-8pm
- Thurs 4pm-8pm
- Fri 12pm-8pm
- Sat 10am-6pm
About you
As the onsite Mental Health Professional, you will be passionate about providing mentoring, support and debriefing to our passionate and dedicated team of Peer Support Workers. You will also assist if a visitor to The WES requires an escalation in support, including organising a warm transfer to the Emergency Department.
You are open to and excited by opportunities to continuously improve the space to make sure that it is meeting community needs and consult with our Peer Support Workers when ideas are presented.
You are a registered Social Worker, Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse or equivalent.
OR
You have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or equivalent and experience outlined in the Position Description.
