Learn about the position:

As the Mental Health Services Manager, you will operate under broad direction and play a pivotal role in the overall leadership, management, and integration of the Western Wellbeing Hub, Safe Haven and Enhanced Mental Health Services. 

Along with oversight of these services, a significant responsibility of this role will also involve the establishment, effective service provision and operation of the Northern Adelaide Head to Health Centre.

You will have the opportunity to develop, implement and oversee operations and clinical service delivery, along with assisting in strategic planning to address the future growth and development of mental health services within the Adelaide metropolitan area. 

 

 Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role within a mental health and or alcohol and other drug setting, ideally adult Mental Health Services.   
  • Minimum of five (5) years clinical practice in mental health treatment and care, preferably providing therapeutic treatment and/or case management and support 
  • Demonstrated Experience in implementation of Recovery Orientated Services  
  • Demonstrated leadership skillset, formal training preferred.   
  • Strong Clinical background to deal with complex mental health issues across a wide range of services and clients.  
  • Experience in successfully leading/coordinating a team of staff and working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation.  
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.  

 

Qualification Requirements:

  • Allied Health Qualification 
  • Current registration with one of the following bodies is preferred but not essential:   
    • Social Workers – Registered member of the AASW and having AASW Mental Health Accreditation  
    • Psychologists – Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)  
    • Registered Nurses – Registered with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses  
    • Occupational Therapists – Registered with the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists and AHPRA  
  • Relevant Leadership or Management Training is desired 
  • Current Working With Childrens Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain.
