We at Creative Healing Counselling & Art Therapy are looking for a creative soul who can bring innovation and healing to the world of counselling. Are you the type of person who can combine your artistic flair with impactful counselling/therapy skills?

Join our team at Creative Healing Counselling and Art Therapy and help individuals of all ages express themselves through multi-modality therapeutic techniques. The focus of this role will be 1:1 therapy counselling session, focused psychological strategies and creativity, a perfect balance of calm, creativity and impactful therapy.

This role may include other opportunities from running office-based mindfulness groups, school based creative mindfulness group, corporate creative wellbeing groups and plenty more opportunities to offer wellbeing mental health support to the community.

Qualifications & experience

  • AMHSW or Psychologist -with Medicare provider number and creative practice
  • Registered Art Therapist – with high level of counselling experience
  • Counsellor with high level of counselling experience and creative skills

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 counselling, therapy support and to individuals seeking mental health assistance allowing clients to express themselves and heal through creativity and focused psychological strategies.
  • Proven experience in conducting therapy sessions and promoting healing through creative expression
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions, to children, young people and parents, and adults who present with issues related to mental health, trauma, behavioural issues, BPD and other personality disorders, Autism, ADHD and other neurodiversity’s as well as general wellbeing.
  • Provide high level clinical service including client assessment, treatment and therapy with evidence-based treatment for children, young people and adults. Produce high standard comprehensive letters and reports and assessment.
  • To work collaboratively with local referrers to provide the best care
  • Ability to plan organise and deliver various creative mental health and wellbeing educational programs and workshop, groups and therapy programs to schools, organisations and corporate workplaces.
  • High level communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
    and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • A dependable and innovative therapist that is flexibility and adaptability.
  • Medicare provider number is desirable. Willingness to see 6 clients per day pending on other groups or workshops.
