East Side Recovery is a brand-new private day hospital in the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. At East Side, we offer counselling, Mental Health Recovery and Dual Diagnosis day programs, Family Therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for medication resistant depression.
We have a brand-new state of the art building and a fresh, vibrant and committed multi-disciplinary team and are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Mental Health clinician to join the team.
Job Description
- Counselling of clients attending the centre using biopsychosocial models of recovery and having an understanding of the impacts of trauma, mental illness and/or substance use on their lives.
- Must be Family Inclusive in your practice and have an understanding of Systems theory.
- Must be familiar with and use the Focussed psychological strategies and be registered with the AASW and have mental health accreditation.
- Must be competent on Client Management systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide counselling and thereafter write up clinical notes in a timely manner.
- Be a team player who contributes to a clinical team approach.
- Contribute to Peer Supervision and/or be prepared for and contribute to supervision with the Clinical Manager.
- Collect and maintain accurate client data and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients and their family or support people.
Mandatory Requirements
- Membership with AASW
- Mental Health accreditation with AASW or prepared to work towards it.
Desired Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of Social Work practice
- PRODA number and be registered as a Medicare provider to provide counselling for GP MH plans
- Registration with NDIS to provide counselling with NDIS clients.
- Must love dogs. We have a centre dog training to be a therapy dog.
- Have a sense of fun and humility.
