Helm is an innovative new service. Helm specialises in helping men address problem behaviours to regain control and improve quality of life. Helm is designed to make accessing treatment easy, accessible, and focused on individual outcomes.
Helm is here to support men through a range of life difficulties including drug or alcohol use, gambling, relationships, dealing with emotions and other mental health or behavioural concerns.
Your new Role:
The HELM team is recruiting Mental Health Social Workers & Registered Psychologists to provide essential individual counselling and assessment to a diverse client population presenting with complex needs, including trauma, dual diagnosis, forensic issues and alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues. This is a highly specialised role and we are looking for experienced professionals to join our teams to deliver exciting and innovative services, working with equally complex and rewarding client presentations. We foster a supportive team culture and you will work collaboratively with the support of the Helm Transition Manager.
In this role our digital client management system will enable you to manage your calendar, deliver sessions, provide your clients with online assessments and activities, and streamline billing, administration, and reporting so you can focus on what you are passionate about – helping people change.
The ideal candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications within Social Work or Psychology
- For Social Workers, Mental Health Accreditation and AASW membership. For Psychologists, general or endorsed registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience working in a Private Practice environment
- Current and valid Police Check and valid Working with Children’s Check
- Relevant work experience face to face or online counselling services
- Ability to work independently and manage clinical caseloads, client risk and complex presentations efficiently and ethically.
