Flourish Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Support and Access Officer to join our South West Sydney teams!

The positions available are:

  • Closed-term full-time until 31 December 2023 (with the possibility of extension) 
  • Working 76 hours per fortnight between Monday to Friday 
  • Based in either Liverpool or Bankstown
  • Attractive salary package equivalent to $82,000p.a. + 11% Super + Tax Free Benefits!

About the Opportunities

The Support and Access Officer role aims to streamline the means by which people living with a psychosocial disability access the NDIS. You will support them and their families to obtain the appropriate utility from the NDIS and to navigate the complex application process effectively.

As the Support and Access Officer within the Connector Hub, you will also be required to collaborate with a multitude of service systems to create an integrated model of care. You will collaborate with the NDIA, Mental Health Services, NDIS Providers and other Health and Disability staff to support access to appropriate services and ensure people are connected to the NDIS and the supports they will benefit from. In this role you will also work in the community to support people accessing our services who have a lived experience of mental health issues to achieve their hopes and dreams.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in human services or relevant field OR relevant Certificate IV in mental health related discipline.
  • Excellent administration skills and at least 2 years experience in mental health related field as recognise by Flourish Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with psychosocial disability and supporting them to access and utilise the NDIS.
  • Australian Driver’s Licence
