Join our dedicated team at Chrysalis, a Forensic Mental Health Service, as a Permanent Part-Time Mental Health Support Worker. We offer flexibility for those currently studying.
Responsibilities:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the day-to-day support and engagement of Chrysalis residents. Your role involves assisting residents with psychosocial supports, fostering independent living skills, and overseeing social and recreational activities in a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed manner.
Key Duties:
- Provide professional support for individuals with mental illness, intellectual disability, or acquired brain injury.
- Implement Recovery-Orientated practices.
- Deliver trauma-informed service delivery.
- Manage medication administration.
- Work within a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Certificate 4 in Mental Health or equivalent tertiary qualification.
OR - Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
- Full, unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License.
- First Aid and CPR certificate.
- National Police Certificate.
- DHS Vulnerable Person Related Employment Check, DHS Aged Care Employment Check, DHS Disability Employment Check, or DHS Working with Children Check.
