Seeking passionate Mental Health Support Workers for our SIL homes in Orange !!!

Who are we? 

We Care Staffing is a leading Service Provider in In-home support and community care and partnering with many health care organizations in NSW, Victoria and ACT . We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to work in our SIL accommodation houses located in the Orange . If you have a commitment to providing comprehensive care and enjoy working with challenging clients, then this is the role for you!

These are casual roles, however, we are growing exponentially and there may be provisions for full time work down the track.

Support worker requirements

  • Strong knowledge of AOD, Community Services and Health Sectors.
  •  An understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing AOD related issues, mental ill health and other disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of supporting clients with high Mental Health Behaviour within Residential (SIL) home and Community
  • Experience in managing clients with challenging behaviours 
  • Skills/experience in working with diversity, including young people who are culturally and linguistically diverse
  • Are enthusiastic about supporting people with disabilities to live GREAT lives. The lives they want and choose.
  • Have flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster which includes days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts.
  • Have a Current  Driver’s License and willingness to use own vehicle (if required) with comprehensive insurance.
  • Have a Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencing.
  • Have completed the NDIS Support Worker Orientation Module or willingness to complete prior to commencing.
  • Have the ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties in a respectful way (and happy for this to be part of your job).
  • Excellent working knowledge in Mental Health services.
  • Minimum of a Certificate IV in Community Services / Mental Health is essential.
  • Have the capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks.
  • Enjoy working in a small team environment as well as independently if required.
  • A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 & 2) and booster

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to the NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or a National Criminal History Record Check.
