RAV provides services from centres across metropolitan Melbourne and regional
Victoria.

About the
roles

These new positions will assist RAV
to provide high quality and effective mental health support to people using the
family law registries of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
(FCFCOA). These roles are part of the Family Advocacy and Support Service
Program funded by Victoria Legal Aid and provide trauma-informed and culturally
appropriate responsive mental health interventions and referral for individuals.
The program operates across all family law registries in Victoria and will
require face-to-face based services at the Melbourne and Dandenong registries
and a mix of face to face, phone and video service delivery for regional
registries. These roles will require travel to regional areas of Victoria from
time to time.

Reporting to the Senior Manager
Kew, both roles are fixed-term until 30 June 2025. We require one full-time
employee based at the Dandenong FCFCOA and the other role is part-time 2.5 days
per week with the expectation of full-time when the Federal Circuit and Family
Law Court of Australia is sitting.

Skills, experience
and qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in psychology, counselling, or social
    work or related field.
  • Demonstrated
    previous experience in mental health support work with individuals with complex mental health needs,
    suicidality and trauma.
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients across different
    modalities including phone, face to face and video. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively intervene, prioritise and
    manage crisis situations. 
  • Highly developed
    verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Understanding of
    and ability to recognise and screen for family violence.

A competitive salary package
is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $90,482 to $99,730k per
annum (pro rata where applicable), superannuation and access to salary
