Are you an experienced Mental Health Team Leader or a Senior Mental Health Nurse looking to step up into a Mental Health Team Leader role? Look no further!

The Role

An opportunity to lead an established team to deliver and maintain Mental Health care services at the Immigration Detention Centre clinic at Broadmeadows, VIC. Main responsibilities:

  • Work under the leadership of the site-based Health Services Manager to support the delivery of health services and provide clinical services
  • Identify and assess at risk persons in detention and provide them with appropriate and timely management of their mental health needs
  • Act as the single point of referral to Mental Health Team
  • Ensure high standards of mental health practice are met
  • Providing reports to the Mental Health Services Manager, stakeholders and other parties

Requirements

  • Full working rights in Australia and full AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 5 years post graduate nursing experience (MH). Experience in a corrections or detention setting would be desirable
  • Basic Life Support or First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with patients from culturally and linguistically diverse groups
  • Previous experience with electronic medical records and use of MS Office programs
