About the facility

The Mental Health Therapy Services develops and provides specialist assessment, consultation and evidenced-based psychotherapies as part of consumer’s treatment within Barwon Health’s Area and Local Mental Health services. This includes peer work, dedicated allied health inputs, ASD services, comprehensive psychotherapy programs for personality disorders, trauma, anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders, and a clinical psychology trainee and registrar program.

About the role

Mental Health Therapists provide psychotherapeutic programs alongside a team of allied health and clinical specialists. You will deliver evidence based psychotherapies through group and individual programs targeting difficulties in personality, mood, anxiety, psychosis and trauma. You will work collaboratively with peer workers, well-being staff, community clinicians, inpatient staff and psychiatrists to ensure people receive comprehensive care that helps consumer feel better. As a therapist you will work in two or more of our therapy streams, getting support from developing and experienced therapists in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mentalization Based Therapy or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy.
