Mental Health Welfare Support Officer Surf Life Saving NSW

JOB DESCRIPTION

Support frontline workers (staff and volunteers) in Surf Life Saving NSW with welfare support. Reporting to the SLSNSW Membership Manager, you will be offering well checks, maintaining records and undertaking administrative tasks. 

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high performing and iconic organisation. With a busy summer season approaching, we are looking for a casual welfare officer to support well checks and associated administrative tasks following critical incidents. 

 

Some of the duties will include:

  • Coordinating and conducting well checks for frontline workers (staff and volunteers) involved in critical incidents.  
  • Supporting the SLSNSW Membership Manager with administrative tasks associated with post critical incident care tasks for frontline workers.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Qualifications or experience in a relevant area of welfare or wellbeing (eg Psychological First Aid; Mental Health First Aid; Crisis Intervention; Counselling). 
  • Strong administrative skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

 

  • Location: Flexible, remote working or Belrose Head Office
  • Position: Casual work- primarily required each Monday-Wednesday
