Want an opportunity to make a real difference in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community? We are seeking a full time Mental Health Worker to join the Wangaratta AWAHS team.
As a Mental Health Worker, you will assess the mental health wellness needs of clients and their families, provide support, case management services, and ensure access to internal, mainstream and specialist services.
With established links to the local community, you will work collaboratively with other service providers to develop and implement a person-centred plan based on cultural understanding of the client needs. Join us in promoting acceptance of people with mental health issues and reducing stigma in the community.
Essential qualifications include worked experience in and/or Certificate in the field of health/social or behavioural sciences, demonstrated knowledge and passion for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, and a commitment to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
