We are currently seeking a passionate individual to make a difference in the lives of aged care residents in rural Queensland.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a permanent part time role – 45 hours per fortnight.

Purpose:

  • As a Mental Health Clinician, you will focus on providing evidence-based psychological interventions to residents of aged care facilities, with low to moderately severe mental health challenges (including depression, anxiety, grief, loss, adjustment difficulties)
  • You will skilfully integrate a variety of approaches tailored to the unique needs of the clients.
  • You will further use your Social Work framework to assess the needs of the client and support facility staff to address them effectively.
  • You will employ a holistic approach with the aim to empower the client and collaboratively work on improving their quality of life. 

Autonomy:

  • Enjoy the autonomy of independently visiting facilities, while maintaining strong collaboration with the staff
  • You will organize your schedule to effectively provide support and manage administrative tasks such as daily case notes.
