ABOUT THE ROLE

Inclusion WA is actively seeking self-motivated and innovative individuals from diverse backgrounds who share our belief that EVERYONE can engage and connect with their community and live a good life of their choosing. Our Mentors work collaboratively and flexibly with individuals with disabilities and/or poor mental health to help them realise their aspirations and build capacity. Whether it’s 15 hours or 38 hours, our flexible part-time roles offer unparalleled flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to maintain a healthy work/life balance around other commitments, whilst also being able to deliver the required amount of support for our client base.

We have positions available throughout Perth Metro and are particularly looking for people living in Joondalup and Cockburn (including surrounding suburbs).

MENTOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

As a Mentor, your role is not just a job, it’s a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Your primary responsibilities include:

  •  Empowering individuals to achieve greater independence in their daily lives and acquire new skills.
  •  Connecting individuals with vibrant recreational, sporting, or community groups, helping them to establish a valued presence within their local community.
  •  Assisting individuals in their quest to discover and maintain meaningful employment in open work environments.
  •  Collaborating effectively with key individuals in each person’s life, fostering a supportive network.
  •  Serving as a role model and a powerful advocate for individuals living with disabilities within the broader community. 
  •  Managing administrative and indirect support tasks, such as upkeeping our client management and HR system with accurate information, timesheets and case notes, managing your own schedule and taking a directive/cooperative lead on outcomes for clients.
