Position Overview

Our Mentors deliver key participant support including but not limited to:

  • Skill Development/Life Skills 
  • Community Transition Plans 
  • Community Access/ Community Engagement 
  • Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans 
  • Supporting Employment Pathways 
  • Activities of daily living/ Personal Care

Based on your skill set you will be aligned to participants to empower them to take large strides towards greater social independence. Potential additional duties are as follows but not limited to: 

  • Action weekly referral process – under Team Leader & Program Manager directive
  • Assist with any additional administration as reasonably requested by broader Being Mentors team.

Qualifications and/ ideal attributes

  • An appropriate certificate relevant to the discipline of service provision or willing to obtain.
  • Prior experience in the discipline of service provision.
  • Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the NDIS.
  • A strong personal brand displaying a strong set of values, integrity and a commitment to professionalism and accountability.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to bring people together.
  • High level written and oral communication skills.
  • Current Driver’s License. 
  • Completed NDIS Worker Screening.
  • Completed Working with Children check.
