Military Rehabilitation Consultant

As a Military Rehabilitation Consultant at Acumen Health, you will use your clinical reasoning skills and clinical expertise to support our veterans and/or defence personnel who have sustained an injury, illness, or trauma. Working with the only rehabilitation service provider to the Australian Defence Force, our Rehabilitation Consultants take a holistic care approach in assessing and supporting their clients to get them fully fit and military ready again to defend and protect Australia.

Working with motivated clients, you will develop, implement, and monitor their rehabilitation plans whilst having onsite access to medical and treatment providers (Doctors, Physio’s, Psychologist, etc.) for additional direct support.

What will make you successful:

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW)
• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Workers
• Minimum of 2 years Occupational Rehabilitation experience
• And 1 year in
• Proving clinical rehab to clients in a similar environment
• Providing support for clients with mental health
• Experience in long term case management
• Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
• Passion to help people rehabilitate.
