THE ROLE
As part of our diverse team based in Western Sydney, you will help make a positive impact on someone’s life every day. You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.
Focus on early, timely and personal face to face claims management, helping injured workers return to work and supporting their employers.
You will undertake approximately 8 visits per week to best support our customers.
This position is Maximum Term Contract Until July 2024 and will include a car allowance, laptop, and mobile phone.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver personalised face-to-face assistance to workers and employers
- Provide workers’ compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers employers and providers
- Conduct community visits inclusive of but not limited to work sites or medical clinics
- Pro-actively achieve the optimum outcome of recovery and early sustainable return to work for workers
- Consult with Providers, Employers and Return to Work Specialists where required
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in Workers Compensation or an Allied Health field is a must
- Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Exercise Science)
- Sound understanding of medical terminology and injury recovery timeframes
- Knowledge of the NSW workers’ compensation legislation and regulations
- Effective listener and conflict resolution skills. Ability to understand the needs of people recovering from a physical or psychological injury and knowledge of what is important to maximise recovery and return to work
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, written and verbal proficiency
- Own vehicle with a 5 star ANCAP rating, insurance & current unrestricted NSW Drivers License
