About your opportunity
The Mental Health Service Group within Townsville Hospital and Health Service is currently seeking to recruit a Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator to their team on a permanent full-time basis.
The Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator will facilitate culturally responsive mental health care to consumers and their families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds by developing strategies to building the capacity of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) to respond to the clinical needs of people from CALD backgrounds.
Generous remuneration package value up to $141,250 p.a. (HP4) or $147,834 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7) comprising:
- Salary range of $4409.80 to $4745.20 p.f. (HP4) or $4561.00 to $4951.80 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Proof of qualification (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- 6 month probation period.
- All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
