About the role

The National Partnership Agreement for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention came into effect on 11 March 2022.

All states and territories jurisdictions have signed bilateral agreements with the Commonwealth Government to deliver the National Plan over five financial years from 2021/22 to 2025/26. As well as defining the funding flows for services including headspace, the bilateral agreements pursue increased integration between Commonwealth and state funded services, and regional commissioning of services.

In this context the National Integration Advisor is tasked with developing and providing guidance across headspace National regarding integration, including integrated care at an individual level and service integration. Under broad direction and typically working with a high level of autonomy, the position will play a pivotal role in the design and development of the resources guiding integration.

The National Integration Advisor will work to ensure all headspace services are evidence-based, underpinned by robust clinical governance, quality and safety principles, and developed in collaboration with young people and their families and friends. The National Integration Advisor will also undertake an advisory role, providing up-to-date information to key internal stakeholders. The position will adopt a continuous improvement focus to further build the reputation of headspace as a leader in integration.

This role reports to the Head of Clinical Leadership. To deliver the coordinated and impactful approach to inter-governmental engagement required, the National Integration Advisor will form part of a cross functional team comprising representatives from the Clinical Practice, headspace Services and Strategy Impact and Policy Divisions. The cross functional team will be led by the Executive Director, Strategy, Impact and Policy, who will play a whole of headspace National coordinating role.
