An exciting and challenging role exists for a Behaviour Support Consultant to join our National Clinical Service Delivery team.
Own It – How we get the job done
We’re looking for a Behaviour Support Consultant to provide clinical support within our Clinical Service Delivery team – ensuring that people we support receive quality clinical services, meeting pre-determined performance measures established by management and the funding body. Psychology graduates or other allied health, we can offer internal clinical endorsement and board approved supervision internally and we welcome provisional psychs!
Responsibilities include:
- Design, deliver and evaluate the implementation of multi-element behavioural interventions for the people we support in accordance with current best practice, in line with clients own goals and within the allocated hours of their NDIS plan.
- Develop, implement and review behaviour support strategies for families, carers and staff relevant to the behaviours of concern
- Co-ordinate and maintain an active clinical case load in agreement with your Manager
- Participate in support planning processes for clients to deliver coordinated, effective service provision that meets the goals of the client’s NDIS plan.
- Maintain client data management records are required.
- Provide consultation to Lifestyle Solutions staff and other agencies in accordance with priorities.
- Contribute to the continuing education and professional development of Lifestyle Solutions staff.
- Initiate or contribute to the design and evaluation of services.
- Design, implement and participate in research or other projects as required.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Lifestyle Solutions various Program areas as directed by the Advanced Practitioner
Make It Matter – What you will bring to make a difference in other’s lives
- Experience working with children, young people and adults who have a disability and present with complex challenging behaviours
- Demonstrated knowledge in the development and implementation of behavioural intervention strategies, risk management strategies and skills development plans
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as a valued member of the clinical team
- Excellent communication and active listening skills to quickly build rapport with the people we support, their teams and your peers
- Previous experience using systems to collect data from a range of sources, and ensuring data is recorded and reported correctly
- Ability to remain calm and resilient in high pressure environments and meet the requirements of a billable model
- Ability to travel within SA and interstate (NT) as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or similar allied health
- Full unrestricted driver licence
- First Aid certificate
- Working with Children Check
