As a NDIS Consultant, you will draw on your expertise in supporting young people living with a disability to develop workplace skills on their journey to finding employment.

You will help participants move from school to work and provide support in the final years of school and directly after leaving school.

You will be experienced with a wide variety of needs and complexities, including but not limited to intellectual disabilities and psychosocial challenges. 

NDIS Consultants will work with NDIS participants to complete their welcome appointment, create a service agreement, engage in one on one or group training/workshops within or outside the office. 

A NDIS Consultants Day involves:

  • Perform on boarding and registration of new participants into employment services programs and provide employment skills training
  • Provide individualised participant planning and support to prepare for employment.
  • Engage with community stakeholders and employers
  • Participate in developing and implementing individual and group-based capacity building, job readiness and work experience support
  • Provide on-site support during work experience(s) to increase total understanding of workplace expectations and behaviours
  • Support customers with personal growth and development
  • Provide support and mentoring to customers that encourage a level of competence and independence with their employment and training goals
  • Source referrals of appropriate NDIS participants
  • Provide training/mentoring to participants through one on one or group workshops.
  • Engage in reverse marketing to liaise with local business and employer networks

About You:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of NDIS program, and relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Ability to complete same day billing on internal systems
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work autonomous and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing programs
  • Superior customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and participants
  • Demonstrated results orientated and solution focused approach
  • Ability to coordinate case management and individual planning for participants as required
  • Passionate about working with our clients and local community networks
  • Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
  • Experience working in a performance driven environment

To be considered, you will have:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current Driver’s License and with full comprehensive insurance
  • Willing to complete a Criminal History Check
  • Able to pass a Working with Children Check
  • Must have completed NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
