About Us: Ability Connect is a dedicated provider within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), aiming to deliver superior and personalized psychosocial recovery coaching services. Our team passionately supports participants in their journey towards mental wellness and improved quality of life.
Role Overview: We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coach to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on aiding individuals with psychosocial disabilities to gain better control over their lives, improve well-being, and manage the complexities of mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with NDIS participants to design, implement, and monitor personalized recovery plans.
- Utilize recovery-oriented approaches to support participants in building resilience and fostering a sense of empowerment.
- Advocate for participants, ensuring access to suitable services and resources.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers to ensure a supportive network.
- Conduct regular reviews to monitor and adapt recovery plans to evolving needs.
- Facilitate and support participants in navigating NDIS processes and understanding their plan and supports.
- Ensure compliance with all NDIS guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
- Extensive experience working in mental health recovery and/or with individuals experiencing psychosocial disability.
- Demonstrated understanding and adherence to the recovery-oriented practice principles.
- Solid understanding of the NDIS framework, funding, and support clusters.
- National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and other relevant clearances.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
