NDIS Support Coordinator and Psychosocial Recovery Coach Turning Point Support

JOB DESCRIPTION

Turning Point Support Pty Ltd is growing and looking for a passionate NDIS Support Coordinator, Specialist Support Coordinator and Recovery Coach to join our team of Independent Contractors.

This role supports NDIS participants to get the most out of their NDIS plan, by explaining, empowering and connecting them with their chosen services and supports.

Turning Point Support is a small team of enthusiastic and hard working Support Coordinators and Recovery Coaches. If you are looking for contract work (flexible hours, working autonomously from home, higher pay based on billable hours, No KPIs), and wish to be part of a very supportive, motivated team then this role is for you.

The successful candidate will receive initial training in the role and ongoing professional development. However prior knowledge of the NDIS and the Support Coordination and Psycho-social Recovery Coach role is desirable.

Some examples of tasks include:

  • Assisting participants to understand their NDIS plan.
  • Helping participants mindfully budget their funding over the duration of their plan.
  • Collaborating with participants to help them in setting and achieving their NDIS goals on their own terms.
  • Effectively supporting participants to navigate through crisis point and barriers.
  • Researching and making enquiries with service providers, including mainstream and community services.
  • Attending meetings with the NDIA or LAC offices to support participants with NDIS plan reviews and goal setting.
  • Responding to enquiries from participants in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and/or collecting and submitting reports as required for meetings or providers.

Requirements:

  • A valid ABN (or apply for one)
  • Knowledge of the NDIS
  • Prior knowledge of Support Coordination and Psycho-social Recovery Coach role. 
  • Ideally have a minimum of three years tertiary qualifications in a related field (ie Psychology, Social Sciences, Counselling, Social Work).
  • Full Drivers Licence and a reliable car
  • Good English communication skills (additional languages would also be valuable)
  • General IT proficiency

As part of the role you will need to purchase insurance and apply for a valid Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, if you do not already have these.

The successful applicant will be based in South Australia.

About the role:

  • Role type: Contractor. Paid fortnightly. 
  • Hourly rate: $50-55/hr initially (negotiable depending on experience – higher rates available for Specialist Support Coordinator).
  • Work conditions: Days of work are chosen by contractor and are flexible.
  • Hours per week: Minimum 3 days per week
  • Location: Work from home + some face-to-face work as required (for visiting participants and attending review meetings). The Team meet for Team Meetings and we have regular Zoom meetings and phone calls.
  • Equipment: You will need to use your own computer and comply with our digital security practices.
  • Growth opportunity: Professional development sessions on fortnightly/monthly basis and regular support from the Team with Team Meetings. Be part of a growing, passionate team!
