ADF Rehabilitation Consultant
As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant at Acumen Health, you will use your clinical reasoning skills and clinical expertise to support defence personnel who have sustained an injury, illness, or trauma. Working with the only rehabilitation service provider to the Australian Defence Force, our Rehabilitation Consultants take a holistic care approach in assessing and supporting their clients to get them fully fit and military ready again to defend and protect Australia.
Working with motivated clients, you will develop, implement, and monitor their rehabilitation plans whilst having onsite access to medical and treatment providers (Doctors, Physio’s, Psychologist, etc.) for additional direct support. This role will predominantly be based in the RAAF base in Williamtown NSW and will have the opportunity to take the lead with conducting ADL’s across two bases (Williamtown and Singleton)

Joining a high-quality service provider, you will be SUPPORTED and MENTORED through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (incl. ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and expertise and enable your success. Part-time options are available (min. 3 days) and standard work hours are from 7:30am – 3:30pm
What will make you successful:
- Current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA (new graduates are welcome to apply)
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Strong clinical reasoning
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
- Passion to help people rehabilitate
