Working in the deaf community, you will be exposed to the full spectrum of disabilities and need, and help our clients conquer the real barriers preventing them from leading full lives by conducting interviews, assessments, and research.
The Occupational Therapist/ Rehabiltation Counsellors will:
- identify solutions and make appropriate recommendations, in collaboration with clients doing assessments such as home modification-, functional capacity-, community access, assistive technology- and other standardised assessments,
- where clients participate in the NDIS, support the clients to access reasonable and necessary supports through writing clear and concise reports.
- assist clients in implementing identified strategies, including setting up assistive technology and coordination of other service providers
- monitor client progress and determine the efficacy of strategies implemented through an ongoing care plan
