Online Youth Mental Health Clinician Orygen

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your new job

The Online Youth Mental Health Clinician will directly support young people using MOST. This role will also assist MOST users with other appropriate features within MOST, such as social networking, and peer and vocational support. This role is responsible for maintaining weekly contact with MOST users, via messaging, discussions on the online forums, text message or telephone contact.
  
Reporting to the Senior Clinician – Supervisor, Orygen Digital you will:

  • Welcome and onboard young people to the MOST platform and welcome families and young people on the under 15’s platform.
  • Monitor the safety of young people on the platform and respond as required.
  • Participate in service development for the MOST service model for over 15’s and under 15’s platform.
  • Communicate with face-to-face clinicians to ensure they are updated on their young person’s involvement with MOST.

After hours will be required and weekend work may be required – some shifts are 12pm – 8pm.  
  
What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualifications in one of the following allied health fields (Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Social Work) and full registration with AHPRA or AASW.
  • An understanding of youth mental health systems and an ability to apply this knowledge to the Orygen Digital context.  
  • Experience working in clinical settings within the VIC, NSW, QLD and/or ACT youth mental health system.

This is a part time or full time (0.6-1.0 FTE) contract available until 31st March 2024.
