About the role

The hybrid role is to provide support across a broad range of wellbeing services, as a specialist within the Onsite Wellbeing Support team as well as Critical Incident Response.
The consultant will provide onsite mental health and proactive wellbeing support to a variety of workplaces, through walking the floor, one on one counselling and small group facilitation.

The consultant will also be required to support our customers during critical incidents and organisational change with, planned support service, rapid connect, disaster response and incident support forums, using the primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid, stepped care and referral pathways.

We are seeking motivated and experienced registered Psychologists, Social Workers and Counsellors who will become trusted partners with our customers demonstrating their workplace mental health expertise through the provision of holistic wellbeing support, as well as provide critical incident and crisis counselling support to our client organisations.

Using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma specific interventions and approaches to support individuals and their organisations through providing one-on-one trauma support and group sessions, and responding to critical incidents as required.

About you

• Relevant workplace counselling experience and minimum 3-5 years’ trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services
• Ability to engage effectively and flexibly with customers when delivering onsite wellbeing support, critical incident response and telehealth services
• Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in Using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma specific interventions and approaches to support individuals and their organisations through providing one-on-one trauma support and group sessions.
• Have a passion to help people, be great at building rapport, and enjoy working flexibly in fast-paced and dynamic environments
• Demonstrated ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution- focussed advice to achieve agreed outcomes
• Excellent time management skills, report writing skills and have a willingness to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
• Ability to deliver holistic wellbeing support services appropriate to the context, requirements and ethos of the customer and the individual employee’s beliefs and culture
• Demonstrated ability to manage own time, priorities and workload factors
• High level negotiation and facilitation skills
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders

Five years of relevant experience as a psychologist, social worker or counsellor is desirable as well as experience in providing workplace Psychological First Aid. A tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences and registration with the appropriate professional body is required. A current driver’s licence and your own vehicle is a must.
