We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Violence Caseworker to become an integral part of a non-profit organization situated in the vibrant community of South West Sydney.
In this impactful role, you’ll directly engage with women and their children, providing essential outreach case management services. Operating within a person-centred and trauma-informed framework, you’ll facilitate access to information and support over a defined period, contributing to positive outcomes for those accessing the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive case management, safety planning and coordinated care for women and children.
- Conduct holistic assessments for eligible clients, identifying individual needs and connecting them with relevant health and community supports.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and regularly review individual care plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Uphold the values of respect and independence, fostering client self-determination.
- Contribute to the on-call service ona 6-8 month rotating roster
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Essential knowledge of the impact of domestic violence on women and children, child protection and housing
- Familiarity with the local service system and government/non-government services.
- Preferred community services qualification at Diploma level.
- 2+ years of experience in the field of domestic violence or child protection
- Desirable background in working with vulnerable young people and their families.
- Ability to identify and respond to risk.
- Understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
- Full Australian driver’s license.
