P00000691 Treatment Facilitator Lives Lived Well

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your opportunity

Working as a Treatment Facilitator at our Elouera Women’s and Children’s residential alcohol and drug treatment centre, you’ll provide clinical support and guidance to our residents, as they undertake their recovery journey.

What does this mean?

You’ll be working within a residential multidisciplinary team of 18, who are client focused, have a drive to learn and grow. This is a compassionate team who genuinely care and support their colleagues. Elouera is a homely, warm and inviting environment set on acreage with horses!

This is a role that has a big impact. You’ll thrive in this fast paced environment, managing at times, complex client needs and behaviours and will be working with a Trauma informed lens on a range of AOD, mental health supports.

You work to engage and support our clients in their ongoing case management, group facilitation, and treatment of AOD dependency and other associated factors within a residential setting. You’ll walk beside them and celebrate with them when they achieve their goals, and help to develop their capacity and confidence.

You’ll know that you’re leaving a positive wake when:

  • You provide high quality engagement, assessment and support services to clients and their children using evidence-based practice principles
  • You’ve built positive relationships with your clients, enabling them to get the most out of the program and make positive change in their lives.
  • You’ll need to know how to set and maintain good boundaries – with clients, colleagues and yourself. What we do isn’t always easy, so taking care of yourself is most important!
  • You’re able to navigate the challenges of complex clients, bringing resilience creating solutions and adapting on the spot.

What you’ll bring

You’re flexible and resilient with a positive open mind, with a growth mindset and focus on working collaboratively.

You’re passionate about helping people, providing a safe place and holistic support that can have an impact on peoples lives – you enjoy working together as a team,  and love a challenge. As a senior member of the team, you will also provide support and guidance to our support workers and child care worker with respect to client care and support.

In terms of the role itself, you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in AOD
  • Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD clinical practice.
  • Minimum 12 months demonstrated experience in AOD treatment.
  • Experience working in DBT and CBT
  • Ability to ask for help when needed
  • Highly developed communication and community engagement skills.
  • Hold a Working With Children Check
  • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Effective communication skills
  • You’ll be able to think on your feet, problem solve and handle pressure.
  • You’ll have a genuine desire to support people in making a positive difference to their lives.
  • You’ll be reliable, resilient, persistent and non-judgmental.
  • Trauma informed knowledge

And importantly, you’ll live and breathe our values, which means:

  • You are humble, human and full of hope.
  • You show up and share.
  • You ask: Why not? And what’s next?
  • You leave a positive wake.

We believe that, through these values, we do our best work – for each other, for clients, and for the communities we work in. And it’s a promise we make to you about the kind of experience you will have working for us.
