Join our Family is Forever program where you will walk alongside families experiencing family separation, providing intake and assessments and short-term support. You will develop case plans and goal setting with clients and provide a follow up service to ensure goals have been achieved. You will coordinate pathways for clients through the Family Separation programs and provide referrals and triage for families to other relevant services to ensure identified goals are achieved. You will also co-facilitate educational/therapeutic groups for parents and/or children.

What you will bring

You will bring your patient and empathetic nature alongside experience in delivering person centred, trauma informed services that are culturally appropriate.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field
  • Have experience in providing intake and assessments and identifying and responding to risks
  • Experience in facilitating groups 
  • Have knowledge of family and domestic violence issues, family systems, child development and trauma
  • Have a commitment to child-focused and child-inclusive practice

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Driver’s Licence.

  • A competitive salary from $92,615 pro rata per annum + 11% superannuation 
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
