As a key member of our team, you will deliver person-centred and flexible counselling support to individuals, families, and significant others. Your compassionate approach and expertise will help reduce the negative effects of problems and empower individuals to regain control of their lives.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent in Counselling or Psychology
  • Proven community networking experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating a supportive and positive attitude towards all individuals under your care
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and follow-up skills
  • Willingness to affirm the organisation’s vision, mission, and values
  • A current Working with Children’s Check & police check

 

DESIRABLE CRITERIA: While not mandatory, the following attributes would be advantageous:

  • Interest and knowledge in problem gambling issues, domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, grief, and loss.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends.
