As the Pastoral Care Practitioner, you will take a lead role honoring this legacy and in nurturing the commitment of all to the mission and values of St Vincent’s Care Services Southport.
This will be a Permanent Part Time position working 68.4 hours per fortnight, across 4-5 days per week.
Things that work for us:
- Attainment or progress towards Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) qualification, or equivalent; and/or Both tertiary studies in Theology and experience in clinical/care/education environment. (Essential)
- Tertiary studies in Mental Health.(highly regarded)
- Relevant experience in a similar pastoral capacity (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated ability to promote Catholic ethos. (highly regarded)
- Competent technology and computer skills
- Ability to build rapport, trust, empathy, or strong relationships
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Respect and sensitivity in ministry to persons of various religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, Life Philosophies and Faith Traditions
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
- Vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19
- National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
