Pastoral Care Worker

Permanent Part Time – 32 hours per fortnight

Classification: XM13

Award: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Certificate IV in Youth Work or Certificate IV in Chaplaincy & Pastoral Care or an equivalent qualification that includes competencies in mental health.
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively within a community context and providing pastoral care.
  • Demonstrated ability to holistically care for individuals and groups by addressing the connections between physical, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing while remaining respectful of individual differences.
  • Intermediate computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, along with the ability to learn and adapt to various other programs and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and confidently communicate with a wide variety of individuals and groups and prepare notes, letters, emails, and reports using clear and concise language.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and nurture collaborative relationships based on trust, integrity, respect and community.
  • Demonstrated ability to accept and embrace change and encourage others to do the same.
  • Demonstrated ability to cooperate and work well with others in the pursuit of team goals.
