JOB DESCRIPTION

Patrol Worker

South Burnett CTC’s Safe Haven program provides services tailored to meet the specific needs of the Cherbourg community. As part of this program, the Community Patrol provides a prevention and intervention service addressing the safety and wellbeing of young people found wandering the streets of Cherbourg at night. Safe Haven Community Patrol currently operates Wednesday and Thursday (4:30pm to 1:00am) and Friday and Saturday (5:30pm to 2:00am).

Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking passionate team members who have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong relationships and the ability to positively interact and engage with all children, young people and family groups within the Cherbourg community
  • Demonstrated skills in maintaining personal safety and the safety of colleagues and client through understanding and responding to indicators of risk
  • Working with Children Blue Card
  • Queensland Driver’s Licence
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates
