  • Full-time until 30th June 2026 in the Rockhampton region
  • $41.52 per hour (SCHADS Level 4.1 B) + Salary Packaging + 17.5% Leave loading

Your new role
Peer Facilitated Carer Coaching is a one-to-one service that is carer led and directed. The coaching service aims to support carers to increase their individual capacity by empowering them to find practical, small steps towards self-identified goals. It involves the carer engaging with a coach to assist them to acquire skills and resilience to help them sustain their caring role.

You will be facilitating one-one-one coaching to carers, whilst creating an environment Carers will find welcoming, real and safe. As a Peer Facilitator/Carer Coach you will provide Carers with an opportunity to share experiences and learn from each other in a peer group setting.

Community engagement/ networking and establishing referral pathways will be a key aspect of this role and you will work autonomously while being a supported and part of a flexible team.

Your coaching background may come for a wide range of places such as social work, psychology, mental health, education…these are just a few examples of your own personal experience that you can draw from for this role.

Pre-employment compliance requirements

  • Min Diploma in Coaching, Counselling, Community Services or related field
  • Evidence of working rights within Australia (birth cert/passport/visa)
  • National Police Check
  • Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card QLD
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
  • COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate with Booster or valid medical exemption
