cohealth and Brimbank Partnership
In line with the Royal Commission’s recommendations, Victorian Government has decided to establish 50 – 60 local mental health and well-being services. For this purpose, The Victorian government has championed cohealth to lead the development of these mental health hubs in Brimbank.
The design, development, and delivery of all these services will be collaborative, and community focused. Along with partner organisations Clarity Health Care and the University of Melbourne, cohealth will be walking hand in hand with the community, local health providers, coworkers and people with lived experience of mental health to bring this service to life by the end of 2022.

About the role
Leading the development of Brimbank Local, cohealth is at the forefront of a once-in-a generation change in how mental health support is delivered in Victoria. This position will form part of the team at the Brimbank Local Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. The role will comprise some outreach in addition to services at the Brimbank site.

Key Responsibility Areas
- Empower clients and careers/families to make decisions impacting their lives using diversity inclusion
- Be sensitive, calm, and assertive in responding to challenging behaviour using trauma informed framework
- Support design, development, facilitation, and evaluation of client-led interventions
- Maintain accurate client records and fulfil organisational reporting requirements
Position Requirements
- Preferred qualification – Certificate IV or higher qualification in community services or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience working in social / community services
- Have lived or living experience of mental illness, distress, and recovery, including co-existing conditions creating barriers to diversity and social inclusion
- Consent to participate in the Disability Exclusion Scheme
- Demonstrate skills in negotiation and conflict resolution
All Healthcare workers in Victoria are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, you will need to provide evidence before commencing employment with cohealth.
