Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join their Richmond-based service. As a Peer Support Worker, you play a pivotal role in our client’s mission to support individuals during mental health crises. Your lived experience becomes a source of strength, instilling hope and confidence in others on their recovery journey. This is a 2-month casual contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize lived experience to instill hope and confidence in individuals facing mental health crises.
  • Build trusting relationships with guests, offering emotional support and problem-solving strategies.
  • Collaborate with local services, ensuring seamless referrals and holistic guest support.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Qualifications:

  • The lived experience of mental illness, mental health crisis, or caring for someone with mental illness.
  • Experience within the mental health system.
  • Computer literacy and strong communication skills.
  • Mental Health Qualification: Certificate IV level or above (or commitment to complete within 2 years).
