An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic and experienced Psychiatric Clinician to fill this newly created role as Clinician – Perinatal Mental Health Program at Northern Health.
This is a multidisciplinary role and is open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists.
The role:
- Provide specialist consultations, assessments and appropriate evidence-based perinatal interventions
- Be an expert in engaging women to support, promote and maximise participation in their and their children/families and carers collaborative recovery and wellness planning
- Support service performance and care standards within the Perinatal Mental Health Program
- Be a key expert resource and clinical advisor to staff within the Area Mental Health Service
- Be prepared to work effectively with key partners that maintain, grow relationships and actively encourage flow of ideas
About you:
- Registration with the relevant professional board
- Demonstrated experience in Perinatal Mental Health
- A desire to work in concert with hospital and community-based maternity and Child and Maternal Health services
- Demonstrated ability to work with clinically diverse and demographically complex clinical presentations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
