Our clients are based all over Sydney with lots of opportunities to build out a consistent, ongoing roster of work near where you live. Some of our Care Workers are working 30hrs a week, and with the continuing increase of work coming in, there’s plenty to offer you with ACURA Talent.
As a personal Care Worker, you’ll be responsible for clients to assist them to live independently, these may include the following:
- Accompanying clients during daily activities
- Assisting with mobility and transportation
- Food preparation and shopping- Arranging or accompanying on social activities and outings
- Performing household tasks such as cleaning, washing, ironing, folding clothes
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene
- Performing personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, shaving, doing hair and makeup
- Providing friendship and emotional support- Running errands, taking on outings etc
- Minimum 6-months experience post-qualification, however, attitude is everything and we are happy to mentor your development
- Minimum Cert-3 in Individual Support – Ageing/Disability
- Preferably your own car & relevant insurances
- Flu & COVID Vaccinations
- Recent National Police Check or ability to obtain one
- We have a number of long services for people experienced with complex needs such as dementia or bed-bound
- Willingness to commit to short client services that can be 1hr-3hrs long, noting that all travel time is paid as a continuation of working hours and most of our workers have full days.
- Ability to speak a 2nd language is desirable: Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Italian, Greek, Polish etc
- $32.55p/hr + Super, penalty rates & incentives on offer
