About You

To take on this opportunity, you will need at least 1 years’ experience working as a Physio in a team leadership role. Demonstrated experience working within Community Care with frail, aged clients or clients with a disability will be highly regarded. Your leadership skills will be your biggest strength and what puts you ahead of the pack. You have highly developed communications skill which will enable you to support your team to achieve great outcomes for the clients.

Responsibilities:

The Allied Health Practice Lead, (AHPL) is responsible for the delivery and compliance of relevant therapy services that are respectful and reflective of the goals and priorities of the clients, including:

  • centre based individual and group programs
  • 1:1 home based individual support
  • support using social media and virtual platforms

The AHPL will be responsible for the clinical compliance of their designated team that deliver services to clients that meet their goals and priorities when and how they are requested.

You will have a split role 3 days clinical and 2 days nonclinical, you will manage a caseload as well as be responsible for the clinical compliance of your team.

You will be supported by a well-established team and will liaise with the Operations Manager, Allied Health and provide stewardship over programs delivered by therapy staff that:

  • determine the strengths, abilities and therapy needs of clients
  • ensure all clients have an up to date assessment and service plan to support their participation in programs
  • are reviewed on a regular basis
  • ensure client outcomes are evidenced
  • ensure program Key Performance Indicators are met

The AHPL will also:

  • provide supportive and professional therapy services to clients their relatives and/or representatives
  • identify, promote and participate in quality activities relevant to Allied Health Practice.
  • provide clinical supervision and professional development support to designated therapy teams
  • support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise.

You will play an active role with the UA AgeWell Centres Leadership team, participating in building a community based culture that fosters a spirit of the BEST way of life, supporting our people to be their best, give their best and help our community to live their best.

For this role You will need

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or equivalent.
  • Clear Police and Working with Children Check
  • 2023 Flu Vaccination
  • 3 x Covid Vaccinations
