We are excited to offer new and innovative opportunities for Physiotherapists to join our team and provide therapeutic services to NDIS participants in a unique way. As part of our Allied Health team, you will focus on capacity building within group-based settings, including therapeutic camps, group programs, and personalised interventions. We aim to create a non-clinical environment that fosters social participation, community inclusion, real connections, and peer support.

The Stuff We Offer You:

As a physiotherapist at Interchange Outer East, we will provide you with formal support including professional supervision with a practitioner in your related field. Practitioners will also have a flexible budget you can use for continuing professional development in addition to the time we provide you to attend.

As an agency that focuses on individuals rather than cut copy support, our KPI structure has been designed in a way which allows you to work in a manner that suits you and the people you support.

We offer both full-time and part-time positions, and we will consider flexible arrangements for the right candidate. The Practical Stuff:

Duties include:

  • Providing capacity building therapy that is group-based.
  • Develop and implement therapy-based programs that is evidenced based but looks and feels like play.
  • Provide direction, training and support to a team of allied health assistants in the delivery of therapeutic programs.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams across the agency to provide a holistic approach to the services delivered by Interchange Outer East
  • Provide assessments as per NDIS requirements.
  • Planning and implementing individualised therapy to support NDIS goals.
  • Complete assessment reports and end of plan reports according to NDIS requirements.

We aim to provide therapeutic services in a non-clinical setting, that looks and feels like social participation and community inclusion amongst peers. This will involve outreach work within the community and the individuals home.

We are looking for a full-time physiotherapist, however will consider applications for part-time arrangements.

Clinical and practical requirements, and experience:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or related undergraduate degree with a Masters in Physiotherapy (Completed).
  • Relevant membership and qualifications in physiotherapy (AHPRA/Physiotherapy Board).

Helpful but not required:

  • Experience with NDIS participants

  • NDIS workers screening

In addition to the safety screening, the successful applicant will be required to provide proof of currency for: first aid certification – Provide First Aid HLTAID012, and undertake the NDIS Worker Orientation Module. The successful applicant will also need a Current Australian driver’s licence and registered vehicle.
